SOURCE-CHECKED AGAINST v16.18 · UPDATED 27 SEP 2026
The examples here are illustrations, not live quotes or trade signals. This page cannot connect to MT5 or place trades.
Current release: Master 16.18
Updated 27 September 2026. This is the Master EA guide. Institutional Swing Search 4.14 is a separate indicator with its own panel controls and matching settings.
Explicit multi-symbol watchlists and saved + Pair entries; each symbol/timeframe has its own analysis context.
MaxDashboardRowsPerPass=2, MaxPatternScanBars=3000 and MaxSwingDisplayBars=1000 bound the work. Rows update in batches, not all at once.
WAIT / N/A reports missing data. H / NO LIVE QUOTE is historical context only: no executable plan, zero suggested lots, and no new automatic entry or live setup alert.
UsePixelSwingSpacing=true, SwingLabelGapPixels=6 and SwingArrowGapPixels=16 keep labels near wicks on DOGEUSD and other price scales.
EnableAutoTrading=false starts new entries off, but EnablePatternAutoTrade=true is the pattern default. Set both false for your first display-only study session.
Seven days, seven colors
Turn Day Clr on and Shaded on. A brighter candle closes at or above its open; a darker candle closes below its open. Dark shades use 55% of the base RGB channels. Friday and Saturday are separate colors.

Using Swing Search 4.14 alongside the EA
Use its separate guide for weekend inclusion, time tolerance, panel position, transparency and hiding the TIME PATTERN panel. Master’s TimeToleranceMinutes remains unused in its exact HH:MM scanner; do not assume the two tools match identically. Historical next swings describe past observations, not promised future turning times.
If duplicate panels remain, remove older indicator instances and use the chart cleanup guide. Keep only the intended current instance before reloading a template.
In MT5, choose File → Open Data Folder → MQL5 → Experts. Copy the v16.18 .ex5 there, from the approved-member downloads. Student packages contain compiled files and manuals only.
Refresh Navigator → Expert Advisors. Open a demo account and a chart for the pair you want to study. M15 is a practical first test timeframe because the default SignalTF is M15.
Attach the EA. Keep EnableAutoTrading=false and verify AUTO OFF. This input sets the initial toolbar state; the toolbar can subsequently turn entry on.
Load history for every configured symbol. Check the Experts and Journal tabs for initialization or data errors.
The source imports Windows DLLs for clipboard and browser extras. Use a trusted Windows installation and inspect DLL permission errors if it will not start. Switching an optional feature off does not remove its DLL imports. This build is not a DLL-free VPS build.
For automatic trading later, enable MT5’s platform Algo Trading permission and the EA’s individual permission. Keep both disabled while you only study the display.
Add crypto, forex and metals using the broker’s exact symbol names. A DOGEUSD chart does not limit the dashboard to DOGE-related pairs.
IncludeChartSymbolFirst=true pins the chart symbol first; false removes that automatic pin.
Saved + Pair additions are considered next.
DashboardSymbols and ExtraWatchlistSymbols are accepted regardless of chart currency. Example: _Symbol,BTCUSD,DOGEUSD,ETHUSD,SOLUSD.
If space remains, the broker’s related-currency symbols fill remaining rows. Duplicate symbols are suppressed.
MaxRows=16 by default, with a supported maximum of 32. A full list can hide later additions. PersistAddedSymbols=true saves runtime additions for this chart; it does not transfer them to a different chart or terminal.
CryptoSymbols classifies crypto; it does not add rows.
Changes to Market Watch are not automatically mirrored. Add symbols to the EA’s lists or use + Pair. Crypto filter bypass settings do not create broker quotes or open a closed market.
Controls you will actually use
Control
What it does / when to use it
AUTO OFF / ON
Controls new dashboard and pattern entries. ON can send an order immediately when conditions qualify; it is not a preview.
Scan Alert
Scans historical swing times. With AUTO ON and pattern auto-entry enabled, this click can also send a pattern order.
Find Time
Searches history for an HH:MM time in the selected time mode; no direct order instruction.
Add Pair → + Pair
Adds a symbol, including one unrelated to the chart pair, subject to MaxRows.
Local Time / SVR Time
Changes the clock used to display and compare swing times. SVR means broker server time.
TRANS − / TRANS +
Changes panel transparency by 10 percentage points. 0% = opaque; 100% = clear background. Clicking the percentage button switches between 0 and 100.
BOX ON / OFF
Shows/hides the shaded projection overlay and numbered targets. Turning BOX on rescans without directly enabling pattern execution.
Prob % and − / +
Sets the pattern-score threshold from 50–95. With KEYS ON, ↑/↓ changes it by one point. This does not set dashboard CONF.
KEYS ON / OFF
Enables/disables probability arrow-key shortcuts.
SCAN PREV / NEXT
Pages the first ten cached scan matches when the available panel height is too small.
LABELS PREV / NEXT
Scrolls the target-label list when all visible labels cannot fit. These controls appear only when needed.
COMPACT, HORIZONTAL / VERTICAL, SIZE − / +
Chooses fewer columns, a wide table or stacked cards, and overall scale.
HIDE TABLE / HP / SCAN / PANELS
Hides display sections. Hiding panels does not switch AUTO off.
Clear / Hide Arws
Clear removes chart annotations and projections; Hide Arws toggles same-time arrows. Automatic refresh can draw overlays again.
Scroll / Shaded / Day Clr
Controls chart autoscroll and candle coloring.
SOUND / YT POPUPS / SIGNAL YT / MATRIX
Controls sound, browser-alert options and the correlation display. Pattern YouTube also has its own EnableYouTubeLaunch input.
Make the chart readable
Scan details
ScanDetailsFontSize=12 is the new default. Each match wraps into fields, including SERVER target. PREV/NEXT controls keep larger text within the available space.
Price labels
ChartLineLabelFontSize=10 and ChartLineLabelGapPixels=8. v16.18 uses stable, unboxed text behind candles; labels are updated instead of repeatedly deleted and recreated.
Panel transparency
TRANS controls only panel backgrounds; label text remains opaque. Start at 15–30% for readable tables. Higher values expose more of the chart behind them.
Transparency preview
EURNZD · CONF 75% · illustrative data
This slider changes this guide only. Use the TRANS buttons in MT5 to change the EA.
For smaller monitors: MaxRows 6–8, COMPACT ON, PanelScale 1.0; hide HP temporarily when studying the scan. Full horizontal mode has 39 columns and needs a wide chart. Saved UI settings can override startup values when PersistUiState=true.
5. Main dashboard columns
Column
Meaning
SYMBOL
Watchlist name. Crypto flagged with *.
CONF
Confidence after confluence bonus and reversal penalty. Signals generally need ≥ MinConfidenceForSignal (65 default).
FLOW
Weighted multi-TF EMA / RSI / momentum vote: strong buy/sell, buy/sell, or neutral.
S/D
ATR supply/demand zone relative to Signal TF lookback.
OVERALL / ↕ / AVG / CONFL
Trade bias text, arrow, weighted score, and PERFECT/STRONG/GOOD/WEAK confluence.
STH4…M5 / ST COMBO
Stochastic 15,5,15 per TF plus combined OB/OS alignment.
DIVERGENCE
RSI swing divergence on TF_3 (M15 default): BULL DIV / BEAR DIV / NONE.
FIB61…161
Working Fibonacci from Signal TF range. Near-price levels highlight.
TREND / REV%
Reversal-risk language and percent. High risk can zero the live bias.
PRICE / ENTRY / STOP / TARGET
Mid price and ATR-based plan. Optional fib target if UseFibForTarget.
RISK% / VOL / LOTS
Configured risk, volume/vol-regime text, suggested lot from risk/leverage arithmetic and broker volume steps; broker minimum volume can exceed the requested risk budget.
SWAPS / MARGIN / HOURS ET
Broker swap, margin at 0.01 and max-depletion lot estimates, Eastern session windows. These are informational, not trade-size recommendations.
REVERSAL — reversal risk ≥ 65 or an RSI divergence, and confidence ≥ 60. Recommendation becomes COUNTER BUY / COUNTER SELL.
Columns include detected time, entry/stop/target, estimated pips, pips left, suggested lots, dollar target, margin / 50% stop-out helpers, swaps, confluence, divergence, and YT flag.
Click the symbol cell to pop a chart. Signal YouTube uses HighProbYouTubeURL with cooldown and browser-permission gates. An HP row is descriptive; a COUNTER recommendation is not a separate auto-order engine.
SV / SVR time and the swing scan
SV / SVR / SERVER
The broker’s chart clock. MT5 candles and this EA’s trading/news windows use server time.
Local target
The historical next-swing time converted with your configured UTC offsets. It is not an order expiration time.
Historical match
An older sequence with the same pivot clock times. The match date and target time describe history, not a scheduled future fill.
Illustration: server UTC+3 and local UTC−4 give a −7 hour conversion. Update offsets when the broker or local daylight-saving time changes.
Conversion: local time = server time + (LocalTimeUtcOffset − ServerTimeUtcOffset). With defaults −4 and +3, the result is −7 hours. A date can change when you cross midnight. The code calculates the offset from those two inputs; changing only NYTimeOffsetHours will not override it.
Keep AUTO OFF while exploring. Press Scan Alert.
Read match number, date, Local target, SERVER target, direction and price. Page the first ten cached entries as needed.
Click any match field, historical X or banner to navigate to that old bar. Turn Scroll on to return to the live edge.
Use the result as context for a separately checked trade plan.
SwingStrength=5 requires pivot confirmation on both sides. SwingTests=2 compares two pivot times. The scanner matches HH:MM exactly: TimeToleranceMinutes is present but is not used by this scanner.
Pattern “probability” is a heuristic based on match order and price distance. A 75% label is not evidence of a 75% win rate. Raising its threshold is not a validated profitability improvement.
Visual map: lines, labels and trade levels
Yellow = current-range Fibonacci; cyan = previous D1 Fibonacci; green/red = pattern target direction. The projection box summarizes historical matched prices, not a forecast with measured reliability.
Illustrative BUY: stop below entry and target above entry. Price labels are offset from lines; actual EA values depend on symbol and current data.
Projection / targets
BOX toggles both. A numbered target shows historical target price, direction, heuristic score and estimated min/max distance. A label may move to prevent overlap; its printed price identifies the level.
Fibonacci / strength
Current Fib uses the chart lookback; previous-session Fib uses the previous D1 candle. Synthetic strength maps a related-currency basket into the chart’s visible price range.
Point versus pip
For a typical five-digit EURUSD quote, 10 points = 1 pip. MaxAllowedSpreadPoints, breakeven buffer and trail step are in points. Metals, indices and crypto need their own broker specification checks.
How to place a manual trade
The dashboard does not have a manual Buy/Sell order button. Clicking a dashboard or HP row opens a chart. You place a manual order in MT5.
Keep AUTO OFF. Read FLOW, CONFL, CONF and REV%; inspect the actual chart. A colored row is not sufficient reason to enter.
Choose the pair. Click its row to open a chart, then verify the symbol and timeframe. Opening a chart does not automatically attach another EA.
Write the plan. Record current entry, stop, target and the reason the setup becomes invalid. For a buy, the protective stop should be below entry and target above; reverse for a sell. Recheck live Bid/Ask.
Size from the stop. Choose a cash loss budget and verify volume using the broker’s tick value, tick size, minimum lot and step. Do not assume the displayed LOTS is a guaranteed risk cap.
Open New Order (F9). Select the correct symbol, market or pending order type, volume, stop loss and take profit. Review the prices before sending Buy or Sell.
Verify the result. In Toolbox → Trade, check the filled symbol, volume, SL and TP. A rejected request is not an open position.
Manage it yourself. Use the position’s modify/close actions. Ordinary manual positions are not automatically adopted by the EA’s pattern breakeven/partial routines.
Assume a USD 10,000 demo balance, a 0.25% loss budget (USD 25), a 20-pip stop, and USD 10 per pip for one standard lot. Raw volume = 25 ÷ (20 × 10) = 0.125 lots. With a 0.01 lot step, rounding down to 0.12 gives about USD 24 before commission/slippage. A 40-pip target is about USD 48 before costs; it is not a promised return.
Loss-budget calculator
Computes a cash budget only. It does not calculate broker lot sizes or send orders.
How automatic trading works
There are two entry routes behind one AUTO switch. EnableAutoTrading sets its state when the EA loads. Setting it true starts armed; there is no mandatory second click. Even with the input false, clicking AUTO ON can arm entries.
Both routes need platform permission and AUTO ON. Pattern entries add their own switch and score threshold; they do not share every dashboard filter.
First demo run: dashboard entries only
Use one demo chart/EA instance first. Set EnableAutoTrading=false and EnablePatternAutoTrade=false.
Apply the starting settings below, confirm your broker server clock, load data and review the plans.
Enable MT5 Algo Trading and the EA’s individual trading permission. Verify no old pending orders or unwanted demo positions remain.
Click AUTO ON only when ready for a possible immediate entry. The dashboard evaluates the listed symbols, not just the chart symbol.
Watch Toolbox → Trade plus Experts/Journal. Verify lot size and stops on every initial demo fill.
Click AUTO OFF to stop new EA entries. It does not close existing positions or cancel existing pending orders.
Then test pattern entries
With AUTO OFF, set EnablePatternAutoTrade=true, choose a threshold and inspect the scan. Arm AUTO when ready. Pattern scans run on a new chart bar and when Scan Alert is clicked. Historical times do not delay the order until that clock time. v16.18 has no separate switch to disable dashboard entries while keeping pattern entry enabled; this is a combined test, not a pattern-only mode.

AUTO OFF

Stops entries, but enabled pattern management continues on ticks
Stopping automation: disable platform Algo Trading to block EA trade requests, including modifications and partial closes. Existing broker-side SL/TP remain orders at the broker; this does not flatten positions. Close or cancel positions/orders explicitly if that is your intention.
Pattern management in plain language
Breakeven: at the configured initial-risk multiple (default 1R), requests entry plus/minus a buffer. Costs may still produce a loss.
Trailing: follows price by an ATR distance and only tightens the stop. Default profit-only behavior is enabled.
Partial: at halfway from entry to TP, requests the configured percentage once, only if both the close and remainder satisfy broker minimum volume. A 0.01-lot position often cannot be halved.
Pattern management recognizes the EA’s magic number and pattern comment prefix. Broker comment changes or mixed strategies in a netting position can affect ownership. Use a separate demo setup while validating.
Suggested starting settings — demo, not optimized
These are learning and demo-test suggestions, not proven live settings. No backtest or forward-test result establishes a best configuration for this EA. Change one group at a time and record the outcome.

Settings that must match the broker
MaxAllowedSpreadPoints: default 30 is 3 pips on a typical five-digit FX symbol, but not a universal metal/crypto limit. Check Symbol Specification and observed spread. This cap is on the pattern route.
LocalTimeUtcOffset / ServerTimeUtcOffset: set actual offsets; recheck daylight-saving changes. Do not copy −4/+3 blindly.
NewsReleaseHours: manually enter actual broker-server times. The built-in list is a static example, not a downloaded calendar.
MagicNumber: distinguish intentional EA instances. Different magic numbers do not prevent combined account or currency exposure.
Validate before considering live use
Use MT5 Strategy Tester with realistic spread/commission and then an unseen period and demo forward run. Compare actual fills, cash losses, stop acceptance, partial-close behavior and combined currency exposure. Record results rather than choosing the most profitable historical setting. Official Strategy Tester guide.
Risk controls: what is and is not enforced
The dashboard route applies the plan’s news, liquidity, volatility and alignment filters. The pattern route does not call those same news/liquidity/volatility gates. Its fixed spread cap and session/risk checks are separate. Do not assume enabling a news filter blocks both routes.
Loss thresholds
Daily loss and initial-balance drawdown compare account equity with stored balances. They stop new entries; they do not liquidate positions. Reinitialization resets baseline values, so these are not persistent account-wide loss locks.
Minimum volume
The lot helper can round a computed volume up to the broker minimum. Actual stop loss can therefore exceed the requested percentage. Check the cash risk; skip a manual trade if the minimum lot exceeds your budget.
Related exposure
EURUSD, EURJPY and EURNZD may all expose you to EUR simultaneously. A related-pair table is not a diversified portfolio or a currency exposure limit.
Margin, max-lot and stop-out fields are estimates, not recommended trade sizes or substitutes for a protective stop. The EA’s leverage arithmetic is a simplified estimate and requires checking against the broker’s contract and account-currency rules.
Cooldown: AlertCooldownMinutes (also used for stoch-align and high-prob YouTube).
Perfect-trade WAV when confidence ≥ 80 and confluence ≥ 75.
Clipboard text is meant to paste into a TTS / voice stack if you use one outside MT5.
Troubleshooting and known limits
What you see
What to check
No order
AUTO, platform/EA permission, market availability, session, risk cap, existing position and the route-specific gates. Check Experts/Journal for rejected stops or volumes.
Scan appears truncated
Increase chart height or hide HP/table; use Scan PREV/NEXT. Only the first ten scan matches are cached for these clickable rows.
Background text is less visible
This is intentional in v16.18: candles are in front. Increase ChartLineLabelFontSize or simplify overlays. No opaque label plates are used.
Settings seem ignored
Saved UI/probability values can override startup inputs. Adjust toolbar controls; use PersistUiState=false for a fresh comparison.
Unexpected early order
EnableAutoTrading=true arms at load. AUTO ON can trigger dashboard entries; Scan Alert can trigger pattern entries while armed.
Stops keep changing after AUTO OFF
Pattern management remains active if enabled. AUTO OFF is a new-entry switch, not a complete trading-permission switch.
Missing manual pair after restart
Check PersistAddedSymbols=true and the same chart instance. Review MaxRows and exact broker symbol names.
Different server/local time
Correct both UTC offsets; historical daylight-saving transitions are not reconstructed by a single fixed offset.
No partial at 0.01 lots
Minimum lot and remaining-volume limits can prevent a 50% partial.
High score but no trade
Score is only one gate; direction/target distance, spread, ATR, permissions and risk checks still matter.
Inputs present but not active as their names might suggest
TimeToleranceMinutes is not used in the exact HH:MM scanner; ProjLineColor does not drive the hard-coded projection line palette; PROFIT TARGET repeats a target price; it is not an account-wide cash-profit closure control.
This guide documents the repaired v16.18 source. Documentation review does not establish live broker execution or trading performance.

Historical scaling illustration — not an earnings forecast or a new backtest. USD account and USD contract values only. One alternative per exposure family across both platforms. Blue = Nasdaq; purple = US30; teal = SUI. Colors identify exposure, not safety.
Recorded net already includes the costs used in its test. Inputs above add cost stress; do not enter the same included fees twice. SUI Pine financing was excluded. Broker levels must use Equity ÷ Used Margin × 100; cash-based stop-out accounts are unsupported. Futures use verified broker margin per contract, not notional ÷ leverage. Missing specifications leave limits unavailable. Only the tested configurations listed below have return data; other bots on a hosting page are not assigned these results.

Each maximum assumes this row alone, after existing margin. Selected rows share one equity balance. Sum of scaled drawdowns is a stress comparison, not measured combined drawdown. Different test dates, correlations, variable position sizes, fills, gaps, tiered margin and broker limits prevent linear scaling from proving executable returns. No compounding. Re-run Strategy Tester and forward-test any size change. Pine native trailing results are particularly fill-sensitive ($164,310 versus $56,910 completed-close comparator); US30 failed doubled-cost stress. NAS100 SAR August lost $3,784.55 at .01 lot, DD $4,791.05; that larger DD is used for its stress limit.
